Coinbase looks undervalued at an estimated 10-13x next year's free cash flow. A post the author replies to calls it a stablecoin toll booth whose USDC revenue alone makes it undervalued if stablecoins keep growing as they have. x.com

Higher rates make Coinbase a surprising winner because it receives the revenue USDC earns on its reserves. With USDC's market cap stable and rates up, stablecoin revenue will likely be higher in 2H2026 and 2027. The case does not rest on crypto trading, which @gorsk4023 notes could suffer if rates hurt equities. x.com x.com
Coinbase should recover into a more diversified business when bitcoin recovers, yet it trades as if its only product broke. In nine months it added zero-commission stock trading, prediction markets at $100M annualized revenue, stock and pre-IPO perps, and derivatives at $200M annualized, and it receives about 50% of USDC economics. Bitcoin near $64K sits below its ~$87K mining cost, historically a buy signal. At 6-7x sales versus Robinhood's 18.6x, the risk/reward is favorable. x.com
Coinbase is expensive against its cash earnings. At $184.53 it trades at 70x cash earnings and 62x next year's, while the industry usually gets 30x. Fair value is $78.24–$99.58, or 30x next year's cash earnings give or take 12%, leaving the stock 85% above the high end. This is a levels-only read off reported earnings and revenue estimates, with no fundamental work. x.com
Coinbase can earn from growing agentic payments through Base transaction fees and yield on dollars backing USDC on Base. Its x402 protocol lets agents pay instantly for web services with stablecoins; cumulative Base x402 transactions rose from 1.5K to 138.5M in five quarters. After a Q4 2025 testing jump, quarterly activity rose from 14M to 18M to 23M in 2026, which looks like accelerating organic use, not just testing. x.com
Coinbase is testing the same support that held in September 2024, February 2025 and April 2025, and the drop reflects spiking rates, not a broken company. It has $7 billion of revenue and $1.26 billion of net income, yet the stock is down 38% year to date and 59% year over year. Crypto's next cycle has not started yet, which makes this the setup. x.com
Coinbase still has no business model in crypto bear markets, while Robinhood has become a profit-making machine. x.com
Coinbase is becoming much more than a crypto exchange, with USDC, derivatives, prediction markets, tokenization and Base. The chart supports it: the stock has built a massive seven-month Stage 1 base and reclaimed its 200-day moving average, and when it gets going it tends to move hard. x.com
A deeper, more liquid perpetual-futures market should expand Ethena's USDe funding reserves, making StablecoinX the best risk/reward way to gain exposure to securities tokenization and growing perps. ICE and trade[XYZ] plan a dedicated U.S. market, subject to CFTC approval. StablecoinX's updated fully diluted NAV is $20.41 versus a $9.15 share price, a 55% discount. x.com x.com x.com
Coinbase is a bubbly stock priced as a proxy for crypto trading, yet experienced crypto users leave it for better exchanges. It works for beginners, where it can take advantage of unknowledgeable investors, but more than a decade of crypto use shows Coinbase gets replaced as soon as users find something better. x.com
Coinbase remains a buy-the-dip crypto holding, but now ranks behind Circle. It has lagged amid prolonged CLARITY Act uncertainty, faces revenue risk from the ongoing USDC custody renegotiation with Circle, and miners shifting to AI temper the trading-volume outlook. Circle is the preferred stablecoin exposure because stablecoins are the natural payment rail for AI agents. Basket weights stay unchanged, with a lean toward adding to Circle as the highest-conviction name. x.com
