Solana has lost its moats: speed and retail mindshare carried it this cycle, and every narrative it was meant to own now has a stronger competitor. Memecoin attention is spreading to Robinhood, BNB and Base, Robinhood is coming for tokenized stocks, and Hyperliquid owns perps. Solana's perps did $8.9B last week, which Hyperliquid often does in a day. As more volume settles in its $15.5B of stablecoins, SOL matters less beyond gas. Pump.fun has sold about 4.8M SOL and expanded beyond Solana. … Show more

Hyperliquid's growing perp share feeds fees into HYPE buybacks even as the market shrinks. Its share among the top 12 perp DEXs rose from 25% in January to 43% in September, below August's 47% peak. Its trailing buyback yield is 3.52% versus 1.51% for the S&P 500, but depends on trading volume and shrinks on fully diluted supply as tokens unlock. Watcher Guru reported plans by the NYSE owner to bring HYPE perps to regulated US markets; $100 remains the chart target. x.com  x.com  x.com  x.com  x.com  … Show more

Solana's tokenized-equity spot momentum bolsters its case as an onchain equities venue. SolanaFloor reports Solana reclaimed first place in daily spot volume, exceeding all other chains combined. Solana may not compete with Hyperliquid in perps, but that does little to change this bullish view. x.com

Pump.fun monetizes by selling SOL to buy PUMP, favoring PUMP over Solana's native token. Over the long term, the two should flip, primarily because SOL is expected to fall to $12. x.com

Zcash and Hyperliquid could face less selling pressure because they have newer, stronger narratives than NEAR and fewer holders waiting to sell at breakeven. Their appeal this cycle rests on narrative and hype; they look like this cycle's Ether and Solana. x.com  x.com  x.com

Live Alpenglow speed and capacity help Solana lead Ethereum in usage and compete for financial activity. Measured slots are 211ms versus 12-second blocks (57x); theoretical basic-transfer capacity tops 65,000 TPS versus 238 (275x), and an initial finality reading is 202ms versus 12.8 minutes (3,800x). Solana has about 1,700 successful TPS versus Ethereum's 23 total TPS (75x). Spot and perp exchanges need that speed and capacity, which Solana combines with high decentralization. x.com  x.com

All HYPE bears have been liquidated while sidelined bulls remain, leaving Hyperliquid's token headed higher. Everyone called it the most crowded trade. An attached chart pairs the move with trade[XYZ]'s announcement that it and ICE are bringing 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the US. x.com

Hyperliquid is taking share as infrastructure underpinning financial markets, supporting a long view on HYPE. Stan Druckenmiller said trade(xyz) is partnering with ICE to bring 24/7 perpetual futures on Hyperliquid to the US; that is welcome progress. x.com

Solana is harder to fade because StonkFun's launchpad generated over $20 million in revenue in the last 30 days. SOL price action should follow. x.com

Hyperliquid's credibility and distribution can compound because every credible institution or investor that steps in makes it easier for the next. Per trade[XYZ], it and ICE plan a U.S. market built on Hyperliquid, subject to CFTC approval. Traditional finance generated exceptional social proof in a single day for a platform with a working product, product-market fit and real revenue. This could be a defining moment, though it might also be euphoria. x.com  x.com
