Grab's projected earnings growth makes its 16.9x next-twelve-month earnings multiple look cheap. Management projects revenue CAGR above 30% and EPS CAGR around 40% through 2028, with Financial Services reaching adjusted EBITDA breakeven in H2 2026 and $500M by 2028. CEO Anthony Tan bought $30M of shares at $2.89, around today's price; Grab's $900M buyback equals 7.5% of market cap. Very few opportunities are as compelling as Grab. x.com 

Grab's super-app model means every infrastructure shift in Southeast Asia flows through it, including the move to electric motorbikes. The EV motorbike transition brings more GrabFin lending data, better credit scoring and higher-margin fintech revenue; the bike is the entry point, the data is the thesis. Per @MikeLongTerm, governments in Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia are pushing ride-hailing drivers toward electric motorbikes with heavy subsidies, helped by rising fuel prices. x.com 

Grab may not catch a break anytime soon because of higher oil prices. When oil rises everything else gets pricier, so consumers on limited budgets use rides and food delivery less. The stock trades at the same price as in 2022, which has been miserable for holders. x.com  x.com 

Uber is one of the most interesting opportunities in the market, down 31% from its highs while printing more cash. The market treats it as a low-margin business that autonomous driving could disrupt, missing its real moat: distribution. A network of consumers, drivers and merchants is very hard to replicate and lets it add verticals without paying acquisition costs again. Uber also owns about 13% of Grab, down 85% and building financial services on the same model. x.com 

Uber offers more multiple-expansion potential than Grab because it is a globally dominant American business. Grab has higher expected growth, 20% in 2028 versus Uber's 15%, possibly near 30% after the Atome acquisition, and trades at 15x 2028 earnings versus Uber's 13x. Uber's multiple fairly reflects its slower growth, and both are tempting. x.com 

Grab's growth now depends on rising spending to retain market share and GMV, a pattern that has persisted for several quarters despite a fairly strong Q1. The stock is also in a long-term downtrend with no inflection in sight, and the rule is to buy only strength or inflections. x.com 

Grab offers higher growth than Uber at only a slightly higher multiple. It is expected to grow 20% in 2028 versus 15% for Uber, and could approach 30% after the Atome acquisition, while trading at 15x 2028 earnings versus Uber's 13x. Uber, though, is a globally dominant American business with much higher multiple-expansion potential, making the choice between them close. x.com 

Grab has about 2x potential through FY29/FY30 but not much more: solid, though less exciting than other names. Revenue of about $8B in FY29 at 19% net margins would give $1.52B of net income, or $0.37 EPS on 4.1B shares. About 20x is fair, against Uber at roughly 18x, given its financial-services potential and Southeast Asia risk, implying $7.40, a 130% gain. A recovery play like Snap may have more upside, with more risk. x.com 

Uber's large, successful network and marketplace give it a moat. The stock is in stage 4, but its fundamentals still appeal. x.com 

Grab is building an ecosystem around Southeast Asian consumers' everyday needs, so each customer grows more valuable as they use more services. Q2 monthly transacting users rose 17% to 53.9M, revenue rose 22% to $997M and adjusted EBITDA rose 54% to $168M, while the loan book nearly tripled to $2.3B. The share price has been flat for years despite this. If users, engagement and financial services keep growing, the next 5-10 years could be extraordinary; competition is the main risk. x.com
