It won a five-year Canadian Armed Forces contract for tactical ISR drones, starting with 100 units with an option for up to 5,000 more worth about C$24.25M if fully exercised, days after qualifying in all five categories of Canada's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace. Draganfly is being re-rated from a consumer gadget maker to a defense technology supplier, whose long-term contract cash flows are worth far more than one-off sales. In June 2026 it bought Skip Dynamix and its Orca fixed-wing drone, adding long-endurance, low-cost wide-area patrol and opening more defense bids. It has won military contracts including with AFSOC and works with F4 Defense on counter-drone systems. Unusual Machines' $5M investment in a $10M Draganfly raise doubles down on the US drone supply chain it already feeds parts into.
