FactSet risks having its app usage automated from outside and becoming unmonetizable as AI agents operate it directly. Its MCP integration was a huge advance and a growth driver, worth perhaps a 20% subscription uplift, but OpenAI's computer use worked well on a regular desktop session, if much slower, and simply noted the FactSet subscription to use when needed. ServiceNow's seat business is being cannibalized faster than AI deals can replace it. Next-quarter cRPO growth is guided to 18.5%, down from 20.5%, while subscription growth was 24.5% two quarters ago; agentic usage on its platform is up 13x. AI agents can do many human tasks, shrinking seats and revenue at Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Atlassian, HubSpot, Zoom, DocuSign, Asana, monday.com, UiPath and Adobe. Usage-based models that charge for compute, data or outcomes, such as Snowflake, Datadog, Cloudflare, Palantir and CrowdStrike, tend to grow with AI activity. Salesforce's AI monetization is moving from pilots into production, a direct hit to the SaaS seat-compression bear case. Consumption-based Agentforce and Zero Copy data are driving real net expansion. Agentforce ARR passed $1.5 billion, up 240%, and with Data 360 reached about $3.9 billion, while 3.2 billion agentic work units ran in the second quarter, up 97% sequentially. Revenue rose 11% to $11.35 billion in a clean beat, and fiscal 2027 guidance rose to $46.1-46.4 billion. x.com
