Redwire's real gain from NASA's nuclear-powered SR-1 Freedom Mars spacecraft is a chance to become the standard supplier of high-power space power systems. It built the large Roll-Out Solar Arrays on SR-1's underlying propulsion module and confirmed in Q2 that they will support the mission, at about 60kW, its most powerful yet. The hardware came from the earlier Gateway contract, not a new award. If SR-1 flies in 2028, Redwire gains flight heritage leading to Lunar Reactor and larger spacecraft. x.com
