Rubrik looks more interesting than CrowdStrike here because agentic AI creates an even bigger cybersecurity tailwind for it. Identity and data security could be two of agentic AI's biggest cybersecurity beneficiaries. Being long what shrinks successful breaches beats owning Rubrik, which gets paid cleaning them up. Fixing may not stay a separate job: Astra went from 34 to 86 of 226 on FrontierCyber in one generation and Codex Security has marked 500,000 findings fixed. Rubrik is taking share from legacy backup vendors, with a large displacement opportunity still ahead. Per Scotiabank, the CIO of a $20B+ manufacturer is replacing a legacy vendor with Rubrik, scaling to a $6-7M run rate in 2026 and possibly $10M in 2027; Scotiabank puts Rubrik's share just over 10%, with about 40% of the market still on legacy vendors. Rubrik should not be compared with SentinelOne because Rubrik generates real free cash flow. SentinelOne began decelerating before reaching $1 billion of revenue, while Rubrik is likely to exceed $2 billion and still grow at around 20% a year.
