Analog semiconductor stocks such as STMicroelectronics, Tower Semiconductor, Analog Devices and Texas Instruments are set to rise further because they are starting to have pricing power for the first time in a long time. x.com

Texas Instruments' lower-than-expected Q2 capex is no cause for panic: it built capacity aggressively ahead of the cycle and should now get capex leverage. Management confirmed its FY26 capex band, said it won't anchor to the low end and hinted at more capex plans after 2029. Zerohedge flagged Q2 capex of $514 million versus $676.3 million expected. Microchip is the weak link in the analog theme, a poor-quality company next to Texas Instruments and Analog Devices. Last year it posted a loss of about $500,000 on $4.4 billion in revenue. x.com

STMicroelectronics, onsemi, Texas Instruments and Allegro MicroSystems benefit as AI data center server ramps drive analog demand, offsetting part of continued auto weakness, per an interesting Mizuho note. Mizuho says analog lead times are rising toward 40-42+ weeks with price hikes expected around June and July, and it raised targets on STMicro, onsemi and TI. Microchip's new quantum-safe cybersecurity chips, launched in late April, could bring major deals as US CNSA 2.0 rules require quantum-safe security in new defense and national-security systems from January 2027. Microchip is deeply embedded there; its CEO says it is in every offensive and defensive US weapon. Its 100k+ customers in industrial, data center, auto and communications will likely adopt too.
