Bit Digital is the best way to play WhiteFiber now because it adds crypto exposure as crypto winter nears a cyclical end. It is a short-term ride-the-wave trade at a fantastic buy point rather than a long-term investment; once ether returns to $2,500-3,000, owning WhiteFiber directly would be preferable. x.com x.com x.comÂ
Bit Digital trades at a discount to its assets, about 73 cents per dollar of net asset value. Its WhiteFiber stake is worth about $515M and its 164,842 ether about $420M, versus a $570M market cap; net of convertible debt that is about $2.18 a share versus a $1.59 price. The discount is smaller than it looks: WhiteFiber, 55% of assets, is down 59% since June, and some ether is pledged as loan collateral not subtracted. WhiteFiber's ability to fund its ramp without dilution was the key test for the stock, and a convertible announcement worth about a quarter of its market cap, flagged by @OG_PViews, cuts against it. Bit Digital deserves to trade at a discount because management is levering its ETH to finance a related party it controls, so shareholders should not value that ETH at NAV. Its new "Strategic Asset Company" label defines a category around its own activities and compares it with DATs and ETFs that do not perform them. Bitcoin's near-term macro backdrop is not yet favorable because the Fed balance sheet is stuck at $6.75 trillion, so patience is warranted. The Fed will eventually have to step in for debt markets. ETF inflows leave time for October to turn positive, while Bitwise raised its 2036 target to $1.6 million and says institutions may allocate 1% to 5% as adoption and debasement-hedge demand rise. Bit Digital's Q2 was strong financing but weak operations, so its revenue should stand on its own before paying up. Headline growth came from WhiteFiber, partly from a departing customer, while mining and Ethereum staking have shrunk. Bit Digital borrowed $50 million against its ETH and committed up to $150 million to fund WhiteFiber's NC-1 build. Shifting ETH into liquid staked tokens lets it be written down but not back up.
