LayerZero's post-quantum security research adds to the case for looking beyond ZRO as just a bridge token. Aerie aims to protect blockchains from future quantum attacks without slowing them severely; early tests ran on a MacBook without a GPU. It remains research, not a live upgrade. x.com
LayerZero's ATLAS could do for ZRO what intents did for NEAR, making it more than a bridge token and a candidate for the next rotation from NEAR. ATLAS lets other teams run trading apps on Zero; ZRO would power gas and staking, venues could stake it for better fee rebates, and 75% of remaining Open ATLAS fees would buy and burn ZRO, tying trading activity to the token. Per @PrimordialAA, 20+ frontends are already testing it, though that testing still has to turn into real volume. x.com
ZEC remains worth backing through uncertain AI and quantum threats because its development team has shown the ability to ship quickly enough to adapt as threats emerge; forecasting which cryptographic technology will hold up over medium to long horizons is difficult. x.com
Bitcoin's inability to reverse hacks makes decentralization a weakness as AI threats outpace security. Tether halted $1.8B from the Binance hack, showing the value of intervention; exploits take minutes, patches days or weeks. AI may be a greater threat to crypto than quantum, which Bitcoin has made effectively no progress on. New highs look increasingly distant without a Core-governed quantum-proof roadmap; quantum alone leaves today's elliptic curves under five years. x.com
Bitcoin's quantum risk is manageable because its network could probably be upgraded in about 90 days when quantum technology is eventually created. There is no real substantive threat to the network, and upgrading now would increase the attack layer. x.com
Zcash is positioning ahead of quantum threats by targeting quantum-resistant wallet signatures for January 2027. The planned protection would address a major future security challenge for crypto; it is not live yet. x.com

Zcash's privacy is its lasting edge because bank accounts may never become private, while quantum resistance should become a requirement for all survivors. Its public transactions make institutional integration easier than Monero's, giving it a larger potential market. Monero has value and is probably oversold, though FCMP++ has no clear timeline. Zcash still has a path to $10,000 as its developers address cryptanalysis fears: Zakura has outlined quantum-safe, unlinkable rotating transparent addresses, and the transparent side is expected to be resistant by January. Bitcoin's major bearish risk is its community's disturbing lack of interest in preparing for quantum computers that could break its encryption. At least four companies target meaningfully powerful quantum computers by the early 2030s, quantum funding has grown by tens of billions in two years, qubit timelines keep improving, and the qubit count needed to break encryption keeps falling. There is still time for a fork adding post-quantum cryptography, with little to lose by acting now. x.com
