Mobileye, the leader in autonomous-driving chips, has multi-fold upside by 2028 as self-driving penetration accelerates. Its EyeQ lineup keeps improving, with commercial orders projected to grow explosively in 2026-2027. x.com

Mobileye has massive reversal potential after a first quarter that was materially better than feared. Revenue rose 27.4% to $558 million, EyeQ revenue 28.9% to $535 million and systems shipped 27.1% to 10.8 million, on significant post-earnings volume. Guidance was modestly raised, it authorized up to $250 million of buybacks it clearly has the cash for, robotaxi optionality remains alive, and the consensus median price target is $13. x.com
Mobileye's AI talent, incredible mathematicians and professors in AI, makes it worth scooping up as a long-term holding at this price, the same thesis that worked for Palantir after it fell from $32 to $8. Steve Cohen bought 5% of the company, so it will have its day in the sun. @Stonefoxcapital notes Mobileye trades at $7 today. x.com
Mobileye has been dead money, down 35% over the past year, and an autonomous-driving future is not a reason to own it. x.com x.com
Mobileye's heavily shorted stock could squeeze if it gets tagged as a humanoid play alongside Unitree's IPO. It paid $900M for MenteeBot, a humanoid with a production model due Q1 2027. Valuing the ADAS core at 12x plus $1.4B cash leaves roughly nothing for the robot in a $7.6B market cap; the market doesn't care after a Q3 guide-down, a $3.8B writedown and the founder-CEO's exit. If Unitree opens near $25B and humanoids rip this week, short covering could drive a 20-30% chase. x.com
Smart Eye is worth at least 150 SEK and as much as 180 SEK because a profitable driver-monitoring leader growing 40% trades at about 10x FY2027 EV/EBITDA versus 12-18x for quality vision-AI peers. An EU law going live July 7 makes its tech mandatory in new cars. Q1 royalties rose 200%, gross margin hit 91.3%, and 386 design wins back SEK 8.85B of lifetime orders. Mobileye faces formidable autonomous-driving competition from Tesla and Waymo, which is a fundamental turn-off despite the hype and good market timing. Technically it formed a bottom and broke its downtrend, but a horizontal level risks flipping from support to resistance. It gets interesting again only if it reclaims $11 and, more importantly, proves sustainable demand. x.com
The still-robust AI wave will inevitably drive physical AI forward, making Ouster's lidar, cameras and software stack increasingly critical. SK Hynix's strong earnings show that momentum is far from over; physical AI still has substantial runway and has not seen the hype of other AI trades. x.com
NXP's Volkswagen platform win could extend earnings growth beyond the auto-order recovery by putting one control-chip family into more vehicle models. Q2 adjusted operating profit rose 17% on 10% sequential revenue growth; Q3 guidance implies roughly $154M more adjusted operating profit on $254M more sales. The VW–Rivian architecture's first vehicle is planned for 2027; pricing, production volumes and chips per vehicle will determine the contribution. x.com
Mobileye's prospects are weak despite a near-floor valuation, because it is entering the robotaxi race late and has not even hired a new CEO. Piper Sandler upgraded it to Overweight with a $12 target, citing the floor valuation and its move to deploy its own humanoids and robotaxis after CEO Amnon Shashua's sudden resignation. x.com
Ambarella's turn toward AI chips comes too late, and Nvidia, Qualcomm, AMD and Intel's Mobileye should steamroll it with vertical integration and LLM-style chip design expertise. Once GoPro's main chip supplier, it sat for five years without accomplishing much. It has a history of underperformance and lackluster revenue growth, and co-founder and chief chip designer Leslie Kohn stepped down as part-time CTO. Its 22% jump, which @StockSavvyShay ties to edge AI, came on no news. x.com
