Natural Gas Services Group's upside now looks long-dated enough to extend its price target out to 2030. x.com

Natural Gas Services Group is a bottleneck investment because gas compression is in short supply, and shortages usually lift prices. Rising LNG and gassier wells both mean more compression demand. The CEO keeps delivering on everything he says he will do, and the macro environment is favorable. x.com x.com x.com
2G Energy's growing orders and long service tail support its unusually cheap AI data-center power valuation. Nine-month 2026 orders exceed €880m, more than twice 2025 revenue; backlog runs into 2028 and service contracts last 15-20 years. Management first guided to €750-850m of revenue in 2028 and says units already sold could support over $100m in annual service revenue once running from mid-2027. At about 17x expected 2027 earnings, it looks cheapest in this space and is preferred to INNIO. … Show more
Kodiak Gas Services' compression business is sticky by physics, and its new power business is not priced in. Moving a placed compression unit to a competitor costs about $250,000 and a convoy; fleet utilization is 98.2%, compression gross margin 70.6%, and EBITDA guidance rose to $830-860M. A Baker Hughes deal secures 1 GW of turbines through 2030 with an option for 1.8 GW more, backing management's target of 2 GW of power by 2030, up from 384 MW. x.com
Natural gas faces a real but temporary 2027-2030 price spike as LNG and AI demand outrun buildout lead times, rather than Chronometer's structural, permanent rise. That mechanism is sound and little disputed on timing: processing takes 2-3 years and new frac capacity is unlikely before late 2028-2029. But Chronometer's export and depletion assumptions clash with 2025-26 data, as Haynesville output grew about 2.4 Bcf/d at roughly $4 gas. Rebalancing should follow once capacity catches up. x.com … Show more
Venture Global's Q2 was very solid, with locked-in contracts setting up cheaper financing. Revenue of $4.587 billion missed on timing, but EPS beat, the dividend rose to $0.04 and full-year EBITDA guidance rose $500-600 million. Contracted cargoes reached 91% for 2026 and 75% for 2027, struck at elevated TTF prices. That take-or-pay cash flow enabled $5.3 billion of refinancing saving $100 million a year, and with Plaquemines Phase I due in Q4, it expects better credit ratings next year. x.com … Show more
Natural gas prices will stay suppressed because unprecedented supply is overwhelming future AI data center demand. Record US oil drilling floods the market with associated gas regardless of price, while new gas-fired plants take three to seven years to connect amid permitting, pipeline and turbine backlogs. Storage sits above historical averages after mild winters, and tech giants favor nuclear, solar and wind, using gas mainly as backup. Relief waits until gluts clear later this decade. x.com
Natural gas leaders such as EQT face a structural shift, because about 20% of world supply is offline for three to five years with no quick fix. De-escalation doesn't change that, so market fakeouts should create opportunities in the group, with EQT attractive below $60. x.com
EQT is still a favored gas play, and not too late, because Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG hub is badly disrupted. EQT raised hedging to nearly 40% of 2026 production at an average floor near $4.30/MMBtu and ceiling near $6.30, a tactical approach that adds protection selectively while staying exposed to upside. x.com x.com
EQT has convexity because low investment in natural gas collides with rising LNG and datacenter demand. The gas basin isn't that deep. x.com
Natural gas is undervalued because the market hasn't connected AI infrastructure spending to the power that runs it. Everyone is buying AI infrastructure while nobody is buying the power behind it, and shale depletion is real. Even so, EQT fell nearly 4% this week, a sign the AI trade's power problem is not yet priced in. x.com
Broadwind looks cheap, and natural gas turbines should be a multi-year tailwind. Two concerns remain open: the 2024 dip, which calls for a closer look at the financials and the cyclicality of its exposure, and margins that are still low. x.com
