Keel Infrastructure is where Cipher and Applied Digital were before their HPC pivots re-rated them, a 2-3 year setup. Sherbrooke approved merging 96 MW of existing capacity from three mining sites into one campus recategorized for HPC and AI, with no new power requested. Already connected power is the sector's scarce asset, and asking Québec for zero new megawatts is how projects move there. Keel, formerly Bitfarms, has a 2.2 GW pipeline; CEO Ben Gagnon predicts three HPC leases by end-2026. x.com
