Hedge funds are overexposed to the Magnificent Seven and underexposed or max short low-quality high beta; falling rates and toppy oil could make the rotation painful for them through 2027. Better underwriting at Root, AI data demand at Innodata, defense breadth at Applied Aerospace & Defense, scaled voice AI at SoundHound, more organ access via TransMedics, profitable insurance at Lemonade, autonomous defense at Ondas and successful medicines at AbCellera could drive outsized growth. Ouster is not a buy at its recent price, because even a great business can be a bad investment if you pay too much. The stock has fallen 20% since that call, and stocks often draw the most attention at the worst time to buy. Physical AI remains a very bullish theme, and adding becomes attractive if the price keeps dropping and risk/reward improves. x.com 

Applied Optoelectronics' roughly $12B valuation is absurd any way you look at it, even after management raised its mid-2027 projection to $471M in monthly revenue. It doesn't hold up on 2027 revenue, let alone earnings or the margin compression co-packaged optics would bring. Management will keep overpromising and underdelivering, could face legal trouble over what looks like a pump and dump, and has been in such trouble before; its own employees deride the company. x.com  x.com  x.com 

Ongoing demand makes Applied Optoelectronics' risk/reward make a ton of sense at current levels. The price makes little sense if management is credible even a shred; execution could falter, but that risk is, without a doubt, already priced in. x.com 

Ouster is not a compelling way to play physical AI because lidar is a very crowded space and its edges over rivals look likely to be competed away quickly. There are countless better stocks to take advantage of the physical AI theme. Ouster looks okay but not worth touching, though not to the point of buying puts. x.com  x.com
