From Growth To Value
Founder of Potential Multibaggers/Best Anchor Stocks
Retatrutide could give Eli Lilly benefits beyond weight loss if its cancer findings carry over to humans. A 2025 mouse study found 14 times fewer pancreatic cancers than controls and 17 times fewer lung tumors; protection persisted after treatment stopped, even when weight returned. These effects have not been tested in humans. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's retatrutide should accelerate adoption because it raises calorie burn rather than merely suppressing appetite, a bigger leap than the previous generational change. Visible results could turn users into walking advertisements and create peer pressure. Lilly will probably become at least a $5 trillion company in the coming years, roughly 5x with a near-straight-line climb, on a projection of as many as a billion users. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's retatrutide results showed weight loss of more than 30%, a strong positive for the stock. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly is overvalued and needs to pull back, since a 40 P/E is high for any biotech or healthcare stock, which keeps Novo Nordisk the better side of the pair. A post the author replies to calls Novo an excellent entry today but doubts shorting Lilly given how much it has going on. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's retatrutide looks like a blockbuster with out-of-this-world revenue potential. CEO Dave Ricks vouched hard for it, saying it 'can really change what's possible for people with more advanced diabetes and obesity.' As a reply notes, a public pharma CEO would not say that lightly on the record. x.com x.com x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's retatrutide posted very impressive Phase 3 results and could become the best-selling drug ever if it preserves muscle better than rivals. At 80 weeks, patients on 4mg, 9mg and 12mg lost 19.0%, 25.9% and 28.3% of body weight, and 27.9-30.3% at 104 weeks; 62.5% on 12mg lost over 25%. As a triple agonist it can deliver better results at lower doses than semaglutide and tirzepatide, with better visceral fat, cholesterol and blood sugar markers. Muscle-preservation data isn't in yet. … Show more
The FDA's warning on unapproved and compounded GLP-1 drugs is bad for Hims & Hers, Novo Nordisk and Eli Lilly in the short term. The agency cited dosing errors, quality issues and fraudulent products tied to compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, and said retatrutide and cagrilintide cannot legally be compounded and have not been found safe and effective for any condition. As of May 31, it had 990 adverse-event reports tied to compounded semaglutide and over 730 tied to compounded tirzepatide. … Show more
Eli Lilly should see further positive revenue revisions as it expands the weight-loss market by reducing gastrointestinal side effects and lowering treatment costs. Strong demand for Mounjaro and Zepbound drove a second FY2026 revenue guidance raise in three months, to $91B-$92B from $85B-$87B. Lilly Direct and the Medicare Bridge program for seniors aim to make treatment cheaper. At 29x 2027 earnings against 15% revenue and 20% EPS growth projected for 2027-30, Lilly still looks cheap. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's broader biology opportunity leaves far more upside than most appreciate. Q3 earnings crushed estimates as expected: revenue was $24.4B versus $22.6B expected, and adjusted EPS was $7.48 versus $6.50. GLP-1s fund its longer-term drug-discovery platform rather than defining the whole thesis. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly cannot keep charging 2-4x the price of Novo Nordisk's older weight-loss drugs if Novo aggressively defends market share on price, because Lilly's drugs are only marginally more effective. That makes HSBC's view that weight-loss drug expectations are overinflated look obviously correct. x.comÂ
Eli Lilly's Omvoh could gain more prescriptions if approved for children. Half of pediatric patients who initially responded were in remission at one year, and Lilly plans to seek pediatric approval. x.comÂ
