Generac's $8B Amazon deal for data-center backup generators is a partnership, not just an order, because Amazon's warrant for 1.69M shares at $200.93 vests only as Amazon actually pays. $2.4B of the deal lands in 2027–28. The news ended a five-wave decline from $296.44 at $173.25, and one candle reclaimed the 50-day ($214) and 200-day ($208.75) averages. Generac stands to benefit as power, not GPUs, becomes the next bottleneck for AI datacenters. Amazon signed a seven-year backup-generator deal with Generac worth up to $8 billion, with about $2.4 billion slated for delivery in 2027-28, giving Generac high revenue visibility. Gigawatt-scale AI campuses need extreme reliability, since an outage can wreck cluster efficiency, and grid connection can take 5-7 years in core regions, making backup power central to datacenter reliability. x.com 

Generac's data-center growth is starting to add to a healthier core business instead of merely offsetting residential weakness. Commercial and industrial sales rose 28%, residential sales rose 9%, and margins improved in both segments. x.com 

Generac Holdings is quietly becoming a key AI infrastructure bottleneck, because every hyperscale AI campus needs backup power from day one and the supply of large megawatt generators remains extremely tight. Data-center backup demand is exploding, Generac has a data-center backlog above $700 million, and EPS is expected to grow from $3.24 over the last twelve months to $13.69 by fiscal 2028. x.com 

Long-lived parts and maintenance revenue is an underappreciated benefit for many behind-the-meter power firms, some of which have gotten very cheap on 2027-28 estimates. INNIO expects more than $50M a year per GW in services from its 19GW backlog and reserved slots, much of it arriving five and ten years after deployment, atop roughly $30M a year per GW from its 44GW installed base. Constellation Energy's long-term contracts and growing nuclear-power demand underpin its appeal. It signed 15- to 20-year deals with Google, Amazon and Walmart in 2026, yet its forward P/E has fallen to about 20x from a massive 2025 premium. It looks like an even better bet today. x.com 

Power Solutions International's large gas and diesel gensets for prime power are a big opportunity that is not priced in. Results improved after a disastrous Q1, though gross-margin guidance of 25% is below historical levels and management could not explain the gap versus Generac. x.com 

Vistra's shift toward long-term hyperscaler contracts may warrant a higher multiple than its roughly 14x forward earnings, versus about 21x for Constellation. Its 3.8 GW of nuclear commitments with Meta and Amazon could reduce exposure to volatile wholesale prices; Lotus added 2.6 GW of gas capacity and the pending Cogentrix deal could add 5.5 GW. Power Solutions International's weak first half looks like a timing air pocket, not a deteriorating data center opportunity. Import data suggest it received about 20 large Weichai engines in August, multiples of its January-July total, consistent with management's view that 2H revenue will exceed 1H. At 1H margins, 2H EPS could be about $2, or $4 annualized, only 10-12x earnings. The Generac-Amazon deal validates the platform of Weichai, ~46% owner of PSIX, with US data center buyers. x.com 

Alphabet's and Amazon's decades-long nuclear power deals show the AI buildout is not going backwards, since hyperscaler growth depends on securing electricity. Google committed to 20 years of nuclear power from Constellation Energy, supporting 890 MW of new capacity at 11 existing units, plus a separate 15-year deal for 2,700 MW, 3.59 GW combined.
