SpaceX's satellite network should let Starlink Mobile provide equivalent cellular service with far less terrestrial infrastructure than other carriers. Acquiring some cell towers therefore makes sense. StockSavvyShay says SpaceX is in talks to secure at least 80,000 US cell sites. x.com
Proposed FCC rules to more than double SCS spectrum are wildly bullish for AST SpaceMobile and SpaceX, the only two SCS license holders. AST trades below the value of its Ligado rights; its agreed deal has almost no chance of FCC blockage despite objections. AST could return to its highs sooner rather than later if the November 9 call clarifies production and Blue Origin keeps moving New Glenn toward the pad. New Glenn is the value unlock. x.com x.com x.com x.com
SpaceX's valuation front-ran a great business that still has two hard dependencies, and the stock is repricing the hype. Starlink Mobile's V2 satellites, deploying from 2027, depend entirely on Starship cadence, and its urban 5G story needs EchoStar spectrum that transfers only in November 2027. The real moat is polar and high-latitude coverage, shown by a Deutsche Telekom deal covering 140M subscribers. The stock is down 50% from its $225 June peak at 60 times sales. x.com x.com
SpaceX buying Grain's spectrum is not bullish for AST SpaceMobile, with only secondary angles that read positively. SpaceX has spent roughly $26 billion on spectrum, so AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile should spend to defend their moat instead of downplaying Musk; letting Grain buy spectrum only to flip it to SpaceX likely ranks among the most self-destructive management moves ever. AST's change-of-control filing came at an unusual time, likely ahead of this news, suggesting more than housekeeping. … Show more
SpaceX is moving toward a launch monopoly as ULA loses urgent national-security missions. Per @cb_doge, the Space Force shifted six launches to SpaceX to keep them on schedule. SpaceX is also negotiating leases with Crown Castle and other tower firms for at least 80,000 sites, a potentially multibillion-dollar step toward becoming the fourth nationwide US mobile carrier. x.com x.com
SpaceX remains unattractive: its reported $8 billion spectrum deal covers only a tiny fraction of what a nationwide wireless network would require, even with expensive satellites that last just five years. x.com
SpaceX should benefit from the FCC's proposal to open more spectrum for space-based wireless service. Per Reuters, the FCC says added capacity for inter-satellite links will improve connectivity to ships, planes and vehicles and lead to new industrial and commercial innovations in space. x.com
Brazil's new S-band authorization adds valuable rights to AST SpaceMobile's carrier-led broadband. Anatel assigned 15+15 MHz for investment and deployment, alongside secondary use of up to 10+10 MHz of partners' 700 MHz in licensed areas, with 200M-plus potential subscribers. SpaceX paid $22B for EchoStar's global S-band rights. In Europe, a carrier venture is expected to win 10+10 MHz using AST, but awards are pending and SpaceX is likelier to win the open block. x.com x.com x.com x.com x.com
SpaceX's unlock supply takes 2-3 months to absorb, setting up a December accumulation bottom. About 320M shares unlock Oct 24, up to 1.3B more after Q3 earnings, and a final tranche Dec 8. The float, not the business, is the problem: Q2 revenue grew 92% and Starlink has 12M subscribers. The bottom zone is $80-$90; $120-$140 bounces are traps. A $140 reclaim confirms a turn toward $300-$320 by April 2027; a daily close above $180 invalidates the setup. x.com
SpaceX's compute outlook improves as Anthropic commits more spending and institutions fund its GPU expansion. Anthropic's S-1 lists up to $120.5B in SpaceXAI compute purchases through 2029; Pimco bought $4B of the roughly $40B Apollo-led GPU debt package. The GPU lease is expected to close before year-end and entails about $40B in principal payments, not new shares. Elon Musk says Starlink Mobile will take 2-3 years to build out, versus the 4-6 years estimated by Verizon's CEO. x.com x.com x.com … Show more
