These five defense autonomy companies can each 10x on fast-growing drone, unmanned and counter-drone businesses. Kraken Robotics makes subsea drones, batteries and sonar for autonomous underwater warfare. Ondas grew TTM revenue 979% to $174M and guides 2026 to $525M-$550M. Kratos has a $2B backlog in unmanned systems, hypersonics and missile defense. AeroVironment grew TTM revenue 84% to $2.0B on military drones, and Red Cat grew 867% with a 2026 target of $150M-$180M. x.comÂ

Ondas Holdings' valuation is hard to justify, and its long-term risk/reward looks less favorable than AeroVironment or Kratos. Per @rzayev7895's read of the earnings, growth comes from acquisitions rather than organically, share count rose 200-300%, market cap roughly quadrupled, cash comes from stock sales, and most backlog arrived with acquired companies. AEVEX Aerospace actually manufactures drones at scale, while Ondas mostly issues shares, making AEVEX the far better long. AEVEX did $432.9M of 2025 revenue to Ondas's $50.7M at 72% of the market cap, with $503M of funded backlog toward an $800M 2026 guide and 1,000 drones a month from Tampa.
